I am a PhD student at the Department of Informatics, Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Science, the University of California, Irvine. My research interests are human computer interaction (HCI) and ubiquitous computing. I am particularly interested in technologies and issues, such as personalization, privacy, around assistive technologies that improve the quality of life of people living with impaired abilities due to illness or aging. I am still at the very early stage of figuring out what I will focus in graduate school. If there is anything you want to share or discuss, you can always reach me through one of the means listed in the "Contact" section.
Before coming to UC Irvine, I was a web developer in New Zealand. And yes, New Zealand is indeed as beautiful as you have heard.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with Honors at the Department of Computer Science, the University of Auckland. My Honor dissertation supervisor was Dr. Beryl Plimmer. In UC Irvine, I have worked with Professor Alfred Kobsa and Professor Yunan Chen on diabetes patient personal management tools.
Love travelling (who doesn't!). I also find myself spending a lot of my time on music, film. In terms of getting sweaty, I normally do my share by running, weight training, and playing badminton.
