I Like Trimarans

There. I've said it. It's true.

In particular, I like the current crop of open ocean 60-footers being sailed predominantly and very well by fanatical Frenchmen.

I've gathered a few photos from various sources. If you click on the icons, you get a bigger picture. Some are fairly large and may take a while to load on a slow network connection.

Three Generations of Tris

A little drawing (62k) and some facts about various generations of ocean-racing trimarans.

Primagaz Drawing

A slick drawing of Primagaz (91k).

Primagaz sailing fast

Primagaz (106k) sailing real fast!
There is also a larger picture (436k) showing, naturally, more detail.

Region Haute Normandie

Region Haute Normandie (182k) sailing really fast, too!
Here are a couple more of the same shot for graphics quality comparison, a GIF (162k), and a JPEG (68k). Write me and tell me what computer and software you are using and which picture looks better in your browser.

RMO

Early picture before being renamed to Primagaz. (Merci, Gaël!)
