Week Six

• Mentor/Mentee Pictionary Mixer Tuesday, May 3rd, 6:30-7:30pm, ICS 432
  
  Attention, Mentors and Mentees! We are having a Pictionary Mixer! Come on Tuesday, May 3rd from 6:30-7:30pm in ICS 432 for some mentor and mentee bonding, food, friends and FUN! Bring your game face :)



Mock Technical Interview



• Mock Technical Interview Tuesday, May 5th, 5 to 8pm, Career Center Interview Rooms
  
  Our Annual Mock Technical Interview Event is back. Mock Technical Interviews are a great way for the employers to interview students and offer them helpful tips on how they can improve their interview skills for the future. Employers also see this as a great opportunity to offer future internships to potential students. Since this is a mock interview, students do not feel the pressures of a real interview and take this as an opportunity to learn. In the past, we have had companies such as Google, Deloitte Consulting, Acquity Group, Boeing and many more attend. Sign ups will be available soon. a

Week Seven

• Tuesday, May 10 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm in Doheny Beach C and D at UCI Student Center
  
  Interested in Information and Computer Sciences and want to find out more?
  Come to the Women in Technology Showcase, where female professors and grad students will display their past and current research projects.
  We will be introducing Sandy Irani, the department chair of Computer Science, Melissa Mazmanian, who is currently studying the impact of cell phones on home and work life, Gillian Hayes, who is monitoring premature infants to ensure that their muscles are developing well through sensors, and more.
  The professors will talk about their involvement in information and technology as well as their research projects, which you will be able to interact with!
  If you are curious about Information and Computer Sciences or want to know how your major and technology can work together, then come to this event to find out more!

ICS DAY

• WHAT: ICS Day
  WHEN: May 12th, 2011 from 10:00 AM to3:00 PM
  WHERE: Between ET and ICS, the entire area around the ICS building
  
  Come join your fellow ICS peers for the biggest event of the year! At the annual ICS Day, look forward to FREE food and FREE T-shirts for the first 200 people to sign up. Events at this year's ICS Day include a coding competition and the 100 vs. Thornton, where the beloved Alex Thornton will return to be challenged. Other events include a dunk tank, karaoke, Game Jam project demonstrations, and a mystery game tournament!
