I am a PhD candidate in Bren School of Information & Computer Sciences at UCI. I work with Prof. Lopes. My current research is on improving search experience in Wikipedia. I was born in Kerman, a city in the south of Iran. I got my MSc in Computer Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran in 2006 under the supervision of Prof. Hassan Abolhassani. Research Interests
My current main research interests include
Web Search Engines,
Information Retrieval and
Web Mining. I am currently working
on improving the search experience in Wikipedia.

Microsoft Bing, Software Developer Intern
I worked on the index sorting problem with the Relevance Infrastructure team. My experiments showed that a Neural Network that re{orders the indexed documents based on a combination of document static features, click-through data and other popularity signals can significantly improve the performance of document matching and ranking. |

Microsoft Live Search, Software Developer Intern
I worked on extracting statistically significant phrases from search results titles and snippets. These are typically interesting phrases that users can use to refine their queries. I also developed an online clustering module which analyzes search results and shows a label for each cluster. Labels can be used by users in refining their queries. |
