Course Updates

Fall 2019: ICS Course Restrictions

Undergraduate and Graduate students in the School of ICS will have priority for seating in most School of ICS courses until 5:00pm, September 16, 2019.

  • If a course is a core requirement for an ICS degree, first consideration is given to students in that major.
  • If a course is a Specialization or Track requirement for an ICS degree, second consideration is given to students pursuing that Specialization or Track.
  • If a course is a core requirement for a degree outside of ICS, third consideration will be given to students in that major following the schedule outlined on this page.
  • Course prerequisites will be updated by May 20, 2019. Until then, refer to the General Catalogue for prerequisite information.
  • CSE majors under the School of Engineering may contact ICS Student Affairs for assistance if unable to register in upper-division CS courses or INF courses number 100-139 for which they meet the prerequisites.
  • Waitlists are currently inactive for all ICS courses.
  • "New Only Restrictions" are active on many courses to reserve seats for incoming new freshmen and transfer students. Some courses only have a portion of seats reserved; others will be reserved for new students only until all orientation sessions are concluded.

Non-majors may begin enrolling in ICS courses starting 12:00pm on Wednesday, September 19, 2019.

  • Any non-major found enrolled in ICS courses without permission from ICS Student Affairs before September 19th will be dropped.
