Cheng Zhang (张成)

Ph.D. in Computer Science
Research Interests: Physics-based Rendering

I am a third-year Ph.D. student in Computer Science department at UC Irvine, where I am working with Prof. Shuang Zhao. My research interest is in the area of physics-based rendering with focus on modeling and simulating of light interactions with complex material. Also, some of my research is related to solving analysis-by-synthesis (inverse rendering) problem.

I obtained my B.E. in Electrical Engineering from BJUT (2011-2015) and my M.S. in Computer Science from Columbia University (2015-2017), where I worked with Prof. Changxi Zheng.
