Di Wu is currently a Professor at Hunan University, the Vice Director of the Key Laboratory for Embedded and Network Computing of Hunan Province, and the Founder of ExponentiAI Innovation. He is also the Director of Data Intelligence and Service Collaboration (DISCO) Lab, the Director of Future Intelligence and Design Cross-Disciplinary (FINDx) Center, the Director of HNU-DJI Innovation Lab, a Research Staff with the National Engineering Laboratory for Robot Visual Perception and Control Technology, a Research Staff with the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Design and Manufacturing for Vehicle Body, and an Assistant Dean of the top-notch School of Design at Hunan University for cross-disciplinary research. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the School of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Irvine in 2013 with interdisciplinary research background across Computer Science, Transportation Engineering, and Interaction Design, and now holds the position as an Adjunct Researcher at the University of California Transportation Center, working with Prof. Amelia C. Regan. Prior to join Hunan University, he was a Research Staff at the Intel Collaborative Research Institute for Sustainable Connected Cites (ICRI-Cities), and a Research Associate in the Department of Computing at Imperial College London, working with Prof. Julie A. McCann, from 2014 to 2015. He also had experiences as a Student Research Associate at the Stanford Research Institute working with Carolyn Talcott, a Staff Research Associate at the University of California-Irvine working with Lichun Bao and J. J. Garcia-Luna-Aceves, a Visiting Researcher at IBM Research, and a Staff Member at the Surveying and Mapping Institute of Hunan Province. Di has actively served on many conference committees, and has been an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems since 2015. His research interests include future networking, intelligent analytics, and smart architecture. He is a member of IEEE, ACM and CCF.
