Welcome

Hello there! My name is Manos Alimpertis (my 'official' name is Emmanouil, but nobody really calls me that), a first year PhD student at the Networked Systems Graduate program at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). This is my homepage where you can find information on my current work at Networking Group, Calit2, UCI and my previous work at Telecom Lab, TUC, research interests, demos etc.

About me

I was born and raised in Athens, Greece, where I spent all my school years. After finishing school in 2006, I moved from Athens to the beautiful city of Chania, Crete, where I received my Diploma and M.Sc. in Electronic and Computer Engineering at the Technical University of Crete (TUC), under the supervision of Professor Aggelos Bletsas. Currently, I am a first year Ph.D. student at the Networked Systems Graduate Program (jointly offered by CS and EECS departments) of the University of California, Irvine under the supervision of Professor Athina Markopoulou at the Networking Group, Calit2. I have been fortunate to work on interdisciplinary topics and diverse real world problems since I enjoy the combination of diverse real world engineering problems with state-of-the-art theoretical frameworks; a really exciting and challenging experience.
