NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Event Panelist

I was invited to attend and speak on a panel at the National Center for Women in Information Technology (NCWIT) Aspirations in Computing Awards (AiC) event, hosted by the UCI ICS Office of Outreach, Access and Inclusion (OAI). The goal of the NCWIT AiC program is to connect 9th-12th grade students, who identify as a women, non-binary, or gender-queer, with the resources, community, encouragement and guidance to pursue computing academically and professionally. I attended the ProperData 3rd Annual Symposium at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. I presented a poster of my latest research and discussed research ideas with other ProperData graduate students, researchers, and faculty.

I received a scholarship to attend the GREPSEC VI Workshop, co-located with USENIX Security '23, in Anaheim, CA, where I was able to attend talks and network with security and privacy researchers and graduate students.

I was awarded my M.S. in Computer Science degree from the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences at UC Irvine.

I was invited to attend the CRA-WP Grad Cohort for Women in San Francisco, CA, where I had the opportunity to hear from senior female computing-related researchers and professionals about how to succeed in graduate school and excel in computer science research.

I was awarded an Honorable Mention for the National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) competition, which honors intellectual merit and broader impact of my graduate research and service towards inclusive excellence in computer science and engineering.

Privacy Engineering Internship at Common Sense Media

I completed my Privacy Engineering Internship at Common Sense Media, during which I worked with the Privacy Program to advance their internal privacy policy evaluation machine learning system, consulted on and contributed to research report about privacy of virtual reality, and trained to become a privacy policy evaluator. Joined PhD Program at UCI

I began my PhD Program in Computer Science at UCI, where I will be conducting privacy research with Athina Markopoulou and Scott Jordan in the UCI Networking Group.
